Facebook rejects my email address

Facebook thinks my email address is invalid when I try to sign up for an account. I'm getting an error message saying: "Please enter a valid email address". Funny, since I've been using that email address for some years now:

Update 25th Nov 2009

Found this in their help section:

Unfortunately we do not support email addresses with generic prefixes (e.g. info@, webmaster@ etc.). Since email addresses of this nature are typically used for organizations and businesses, we do not allow them to be used for personal Facebook accounts. You will need to use a personal email address that does not contain this type of prefix. There are no exceptions to this rule.

  2. Unfortunately no. Facebook still rejects my email address.

  3. And my two addresses, one with gmail and the other with yahoo, are both rejected

  4. Mine is also rejected and now Facebook has also flagged my alternative email address. I think they don't like personal domains.

  5. this is so silly...

If you are using addresses like mail@MyDoma.in, add an alternative address that just forwards to your email account.

    example:
    mail@MyDoma.in [IMAP Account]
    post@MyDoma.in [Forward to mail@MyDoma.in]
