Scrolls - A first look at Mojang's next game

I'm currently playing the pre-alpha of Scrolls, which is Mojang's upcoming card game. I'm figuring out how to best play the game by doing quick matches against the AI. The Easy and Medium difficult level was no problem to beat, but Jon Kågström's Hard level AI wipes the floor with me. Good job Jon!

    1. Why? Did you expect differant things? It's pre-alpha.

  8. ::sigh:: Well, as long as Notch didn't work on it, hopefully the gameplay will make up for, well, everything else.

  11. honestly.. I kind of expected a lil more.. These games die fast and only target specific people. There are thousands of games like this one of what I can see.. Most of them are dead and barely hanging on.. I really don't see this game going anywhere and I expected more from mojang.

    1. It's not just about pre-alpha. It seems that many people expected a whole different game all together. That's a fault of information on their side because it was pretty clear that this game is a turn-based card game.
Not some kind of MMORPG or anything

  13. you haters gonna hate but you'll still buy it because your friends will.

regardless; psyched to finally see some screens! looks awesome!

... you guys are gonna sell boosters; right? :D that'd be awesome. was making a social game with that kind of setup but with body parts instead of cards. if this does happen i will be saddened but at the same time happy because it really is a sweet deal that no one has touched yet... though i'd wait a little bit after launch to implement something like that.

hope it catches on and brings you guys some modest(if not moreso) success! KEEP IT UP. MAKES GAMES THAT YOU WANT TO MAKE. NOT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE WANT. THEY SUCK(mostly).
